Tungsten rings have forever polished brilliant surface finishes. tungtenring-jsf.com a tungsten carbide ring manufacture retailer provides optimal comfort while wearing tungsten carbide ring when putting it on or removing it. Jin Shun Fa tungsten carbide wedding bands are engineered to be maintenance free. A lifetime warranty is accompanied with every jewelry purchase. tungtenring-jsf.com can create a unique piece of jewelry with a style, polish and texture that will last a lifetime. tungtenring-jsf.com offers tungsten carbide rings with precious metal inlays of sterling silver, rose gold, white gold and yellow gold. The tungsten carbide portion of the ring will maintain its original polish and luster for life, while the softer inlaid precious metals will eventually develop a textured appearance over time, creating an attractive contrast against the lasting polish of the tungsten carbide.

Tungsten Carbide Ring Manufacturing
Tungsten rings are composed of a metal alloy, tungsten carbide. The alloy allows for maximum hardness and rigidity without sacrificing tensile strength. Each tungsten carbide ring is cut and polished with diamond tools. Tungsten rings are not sizable by ordinary jewelers' tools, the metal is to hard. Most tungsten metal powder is converted to tungsten carbide (WC) by reaction with pure carbon powder, e.g. carbon black, at 900 - 2200°C in pusher or batch furnaces, a process called carburization.

Tungsten is extremely hard and dense. Combined with carbon and other elements, it becomes tungsten carbide, which registers between 8.9 - 9.1 on the Mohs hardness scale. It's roughly 10 times harder than 18k gold and four times harder than titanium and is equal to a natural sapphire's hardness. In addition to its design and high polish, part of its attraction to consumers is its technical nature.

Tungsten carbide hardness has an assuring long lasting beauty. Permanently polished tungsten rings take a brilliant high polish and resist scratching longer than any metal ever offered to the public. Tungsten rings will never bend out of shape.

Tungsten jewelry is very hard and in comparison, titanium, a very hard metal, is about 6.5 on Moh's scale. Gold, silver, and platinum range from 2 to 4 on the scale. Sand ranks up there at 7 and your teeth, depending on your diet, range right around 4. The Mohs scale is more or less a "scratch test" so you can see why Tungsten is such a durable ring. Have some fun with them by trying to scratch them with a metal file. Titanium ring manufacturing companies routinely cut out their titanium rings using tungsten carbide cutting tools. There are just no rings that can compete with tungsten's durability.

Tungsten does not gain its extreme hardness until it is combined with a carbon alloy, transferring it into tungsten carbide (WC). Tungsten carbide is virtually indestructible, and has been widely used for decades in industrial applications such as cutting tools, mining machinery, and rocket engine nozzles. The unique formula of our tungsten carbide allows Forever Metals rings to be both visually stunning and durable enough for every day use. You are no longer required to constantly remove and replace your ring to protect its finish.

Not all tungsten rings are the same. Please be aware not all ring manufactures use the same grade of tungsten. Some use a lesser quality tungsten grade that is more susceptible to scratches. Be sure to purchase from a reputable company. There is no cobalt in our tungsten jewelry. All tungsten jewelry from Forever Metals is tried and tested with sweat stain resistant over 48 hours. All of our tungsten carbide rings are made with the superior nickel binding powder and tungsten carbide combination.

Nickel- powder are superior for several reasons. Nickel- powder tungsten carbide is hypoallergenic, chemically inert and therefore will not oxidize, cause rashes, or irritate the skin. We do not use cobalt as it can have an adverse reaction with some wearers' skin, sometimes causing a rash. Cobalt bonds with oils in the skin and leeches out of the ring, resulting in oxidation. The oxidation appears similar to tarnished silver, but cannot be removed by polishing or grinding. Nickel, on the other hand, does not bond with oil and therefore does not oxidize.

Tungsten rings are rich in color, lustrous shine, and sleek new designs. Black tungsten is the hottest new look in tungsten wedding bands and is proving to be a popular choice for brides and grooms wanting wedding bands that express their individuality.

Tungsten carbide is naturally grayish in color, and because of its extreme hardness is a perfect base metal for physical vapor deposition (PVD) coatings IP (ions plating). Under carefully controlled manufacturing conditions, and using this special process, the exterior surface color of naturally gray tungsten carbide wedding bands can be permanently changed to a rich and luxurious black diamond (C10) coating. The interior is also coated except for a very thin line used for metal identification. The IP coating on our black tungsten wedding bands not only produces a handsome wedding band that is similar to the color of onyx, but it improves the material properties of these wedding bands by extending their service life through high wear resistance and low surface friction. We have tested black tungsten wedding bands for many years now, and found that they are resistant to typical wear and scratching.
